Scientific research and international collaboration are highly essential to address challenges like increasing environmental pollution across the globe which is severely affecting human health, said Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Allam Srinivasa Rao.

He was speaking at the International Conference on Environmental Pollution, Nutrition and Public Health (ICENPH-2025), organised at the VSU campus in Kakatur of SPSR Nellore district on Tuesday (September 16, 2025).

The event was organised in collaboration with the Department of Marine Biology, Department of Microbiology, Yogi Vemana University, and Aieonki Publishco Private Limited, Hyderabad. The VC said that the conference would pave the way for new innovations, as students, researchers, and scientists to come together.

VSU Registrar K. Suneetha said that both malnutrition and environmental pollution are aggravating public health issues, and urged for joint efforts by the government, universities, and private organisations to tackle these challenges.
