Maximum temperature in Telangana to be 3°C to 4°C above normal over next two days

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that maximum temperatures across Telangana are likely to remain above normal over the next two days, with hot weather conditions expected at several places in the State.

According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, maximum temperatures are likely to be above normal by 3°C to 4°C in isolated pockets across Telangana during the next two days. “Hot weather conditions are very likely to prevail at a few places over Telangana,” the bulletin stated.

Data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) showed that Penuballi in Khammam district recorded the highest maximum temperature in the State on March 6 at 39°C. This was followed by 38.9°C in Penchikalpet (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad), Mendora (Nizamabad), Mutharam (Peddapalli). Mothey (Suryapet), 38.8°C in Manuguru (Bhadradri Kothagudem), Beerpur (Jagtial), Mahadevpur (Jayashankar Bhupalpally) and Kattangoor (Nalgonda).

Asifnagar in Hyderabad recorded a maximum temperature of 37.4°C.
