Two engineers from Karnataka secure place in top 100 AIR in CSE

Two engineers from Karnataka have secured places in the top 100 All India Ranking (AIR) in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam results announced by the Civil Services Examination (CSE)-2025 on Friday.

Kiran Kamate, 29, from Hattaaravata village in Chikkodi taluk of Belagavi district, has secured the 53rd AIR and emerged as topper of the State.

Sandeep Badad, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, Yadgir, has secured 82nd AIR and emerged as second topper of the State.

Mr. Kiran, who has completed his civil engineering degree from Gogate Engineering College, Belagavi, is currently working as an Assistant Engineer at the Public Works Department (PWD) in Bengaluru. He succeeded in the sixth attempt.

Sandeep Badad, son of a grocery store owner of Yadgir, completed his engineering degree at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr. AIT) College, Bengaluru.

He worked in a software company for three years, left his job and trained for competitive exams in Delhi. He cleared CSE in his sixth attempt.

This year more than 25 candidates have managed to crack the CSE from the State.
