The fees for engineering courses at private colleges in Telangana was fixed by  Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC)

The Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC) has fixed the annual tuition fee for Engineering courses such as Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) for all private unaided engineering colleges for academic years till 2027-28.

The recommendation was approved by the State government and related orders were issued by the Higher Education Department on March 4, 2026, while fixing a minimum annual tuition fee of ₹45,000. There are 33 colleges in the State that will charge more than ₹1 lakh per year and two colleges at ₹1 lakh per year.

Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology Society (CBIT) tops the list with ₹1.83 lakh fee, followed by Vasavi College of Engineering at ₹1.75 lakh. Others in similar category are G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science for Women, CVR College of Engineering, Gokaraju Rangaraju (GRIET), and B.V. Raju Institute (BVRIT), among others.

As per the TAFRC, the current recommendation in the fee cleared that there was a reduction in tuition fee for 19 colleges and the fee for about 70 colleges remains the same. It also warned that the institutes are not supposed to collect any capitation fees or any others amounts in the form of donation or other kinds.
