ACB officials trap Pamidi SRO while ‘taking’ bribe in Anantapur district

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught Pamidi Sub-Registrar Officer (SRO) K. Radha Ramana and other individual identified as V. Venkatesh red-handed while accepting ₹25,000 bribe in Anantapur district on Thursday (March 5, 2026).

The accused allegedly demanded bribe for registering the property of the complainant. They would be produced in Kurnool ACB Special Court, the investigation officers said.

In a separate case, the ACB Special Court, Vijayawada, on Thursday, awarded three years Rigorous Imprisonment to K. Ramanjaneyulu, former Assistant Engineer, A.P. State Housing Corporation Limited, who was booked in a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case in 2005. The accused AE retired from service in 2016.
