Hundreds of candidates who arrived at a test centre in Kasaragod on Tuesday (September 16, 2025) morning to appear for the Kerala PSC Female Caretaker exam in the Women and Child Development department were left disappointed after learning that the exam had been postponed.

The exam was reportedly scheduled from 7 a.m. to 8.50 a.m. at Thalangara Government Muslim Vocational High Secondary School, Kasaragod. Many candidates, including women from remote areas such as Vellarikund, faced difficulty reaching the venue due to inadequate bus services and incurred high expenses on autorickshaw and other means of transport. They said they were unaware of the postponement until arriving at the exam centre.

While candidates claimed that there was no notification on their PSC profile as of Monday, PSC officials said a notice was published on the official website, PSC’s Facebook page, WhatsApp groups, and communicated to the media two days in advance.

Earlier, candidates had raised similar complaints regarding the Kozhikode ICDS Supervisor exam.
