Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday (March 4, 2026) paid tributes to Ayya Vaikundar on the spiritual leader’s birth anniversary.
In a post on X, Mr. Stalin said Ayya Vaikundar sowed the spark of equality in society and urged people to be courageous like the light of a lamp that always burns upward even if it is held facing downward.
Going by his teaching of “Protecting oppressed is dharma,” as the basis for governance, the “Dravidian model government” functions for the welfare of the downtrodden. Let us walk in the path of Ayya Vaikundar’s words and uphold equality, Mr. Stalin added.
