The State government has announced plans to establish a new AYUSH-Integrated Hospital in Pathanamthitta.

The proposed facility, with a capacity of 30 beds, will come up at Nannuvakkad and will have a built up area of 14,700 sq ft. The total cost of the project is estimated at Rs 10.50 crore, of which Rs 10 crore has been earmarked for the construction of the building and ₹50 lakh for hospital equipment.

Health Minister Veena George will lay the foundation stone for the project at a function to be held here on Tuesday as part of the Arogyam Anandam Pathanamthitta Fest. The district level launch of the Healthy KeralaM and Web 4 Wellness campaign, aimed at combating lifestyle diseases, will also be held on the occasion.

According to an official statement, the proposed facility will be a state of the art integrated hospital offering not only Ayurveda but also other systems of treatment under the AYUSH umbrella. In addition to separate general wards for men and women, the 30 bed hospital will feature spacious waiting areas, modern consultation rooms, a Panchakarma theatre, pay ward rooms, laboratory and X ray facilities, a pharmacy, a nursing station and other essential amenities. Construction is scheduled to commence in April 2026.
