Utsava idols of Sri Bhu Sametha Sri Venkateswara Swamy placed on a decorated stage during the Srinivasa Kalyanam in Vuyyuru town on Sunday.

The celestial wedding of Lord Sri Bhu Sametha Sri Venkateswara Swamy was celebrated with grandeur in Vuyyuru town of Krishna district on Sunday (March 1). Thousands of devotees gathered to witness the sacred Srinivasa Kalyanam and receive divine blessings.

Organised under the aegis of Sri Bhu Sametha Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam, Dokiparru Mahakshetram (Gudlavalleru mandal), the event marked the first time the presiding deity’s Kalyanam having been performed outside the temple premises.

A beautifully decorated stage was installed in an open ground near Reliance Smart, where the utsava idols were ceremoniously installed. Vedic scholars conducted elaborate rituals amid sacred chants and mangala vadyams, creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere.

The ceremony was held under the leadership of founder-trustee Sudha Reddy and representatives of Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL). Ms. Sudha Reddy, along with her family members and temple trustees, participated in the rituals and offered special prayers.

Cultural performances, including Annamacharya Keerthanas, classical dance, Kerala percussion and Kolatam by women devotees, enriched the devotional fervour. Prasadam was distributed to all attendees, making the event a spiritually memorable occasion for the town.
