Water Resources Minister and East Godavari District In-Charge Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu on Saturday (February 28, 2026) announced that a team of doctors, experts in treating acute renal failure, from Hyderabad-based KIMS, Apollo and AIG hospitals would arrive in Rajamahendravaram city, to treat the survivors from the acute renal failure in various hospitals.

As many as 15 persons, including six women and three infants, are battling for life with acute renal failure after they consumed adulterated milk supplied by the same vendor between February 16 and 18 in Rajamahendravaram city.  

Mr. Ramanaidu, Rajanagaram MLA B. Balarama Krishna, East Godavari District Collector Kirthi Chekuri interacted with the 15 patients and their families in various hospitals. Speaking to newsmen after interacting with the survivors, Mr. Ramanaidu has stated that a team of expert doctors from Hyderabad would arrive Rajamahendravaram city for better treatment for the survivors.
