Janata Dal(S) Youth Wing leader Nikhil Kumaraswamy has urged the people to support his party as it is the only regional party that is striving hard for the existence of the identity of Karnataka.

“We have to save and strengthen the Janata Dal(S). It is the only regional force that is still alive and breathing for the identity of the soil, water and cultures of Karnataka. It is a true secular party. It is the only regional party that is fighting for the interests of Karnataka. This is not just a political party, it is a party of the self-respect of farmers, the poor and the Kannadigas of this land,” he said.

He said that the Janata Dal(S) will organise rallies across the State in the next two years to prepare for the 2028 elections and asked the youth to support it.

“From the next month, the former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy will lead these rallies. We will visit each village, including those in North Karnataka,” he said.

“I want to tell you that the Janata Dal(S) will come to power in the 2028 elections as no other party has the capability and acceptability of Mr. Kumaraswamy. We may have only a handful of MLAs now. But I want you to realise that the size of the army is not important to win a war, but the courage of the commander,” he said.

Nikhil Kumaraswamy complained that the Congress government has failed to keep its pre-election promise of ₹2 lakh crore for irrigation projects.

“They have not released even ₹10,000 crore per year. They have diverted all money for the guarantees,” he said.

The former MLA Bandeppa Kashempur said that the Janata Dal(S) will organise five mega rallies in various districts of the State to strengthen the party. He said that the Congress has come to power not on its own strength but because the people were upset with the then ruling party.
