The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), in collaboration with The Hindu, will organise a hybrid panel discussion series titled “Future Career Conversations” to support students and working professionals in making informed academic and career decisions.

The series is aimed at benefiting undergraduate aspirants, postgraduate candidates, and working professionals in various fields such as humanities and sciences, entrepreneurship, law, public health, pharmacology, allied health sciences and nursing, medical and dental sciences, occupational therapy and physiotherapy, engineering, and agriculture.

The first webinar titled “The Innovation Bridge: Universities as India’s New R&D Powerhouses” will be held at 11.30 a.m. on February 28. It will examine how universities are strengthening translational research and industry-led R&D to bridge the research-to-market gap and convert intellectual property to real-world impact.

The panel comprises Shantanu Patil, director-Entrepreneurship and Innovation, SRMIST; N. Venkata Sastry, director-Career Centre, SRMIST; Krishnan Naganathan, innovation consultant and founder, Think Horizon Consulting LLP; and Mahesh Ramachandran, founder, CIGS Tech Innovations and Partner, Pontaq Cross Border Innovation Fund.
