Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) R.V. Karnan directed officials to ensure door-to-door collection of garbage every single day without any lapse.

Mr. Karnan conducted extensive sanitation inspections, along with zonal commissioner Ravi Kiran, visiting areas from Indira Park to the Secunderabad Railway Station.

Field inspections were carried out at Surabhi Park, P&T Colony, Gandhi Nagar Division, Kavadiguda, and areas surrounding Secunderabad Railway Station. The Commissioner personally reviewed the attendance of Swachh Auto workers and examined the regularity and effectiveness of sanitation operations at the ground level, a statement informed.

The Commissioner instructed the Deputy Commissioners and the engineering officials looking after solid waste management to strictly monitor Swachh Auto sanitation workers to ensure mandatory daily door-to-door waste collection. He emphasised that public places, parks, roads, streets, and major junctions must be maintained in a clean and hygienic condition at all times.

Commissioner of the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation T. Vinay Krishna Reddy also conducted a surprise inspection in the Kapra Circle, to monitor sanitation. He visited Old Kapra, Daba Garden and Yellareddyguda areas apart from the secondary collection point on Saket Road. He issued directions to increase the Secondary Collection points for garbage. Interacting with the colony residents, he motivated them to hand over the garbage to Swachh Auto Tippers.
