A fire broke out in a hardware shop at Kumbarpet under Halasuru Gate Police Station limits in Bengaluru on February 25.

The incident occurred around 9 a.m. Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the blaze. Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot, and were engaged in efforts to douse the flames.

Goods worth several lakhs of rupees were reportedly destroyed in the fire. However, no casualty or injury has been reported so far.

The Halasuru Gate police have registered a case, and further investigation is underway.
