New Collectors for Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, and Karur districts

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday (February 24, 2026) posted new Collectors for Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, and Karur districts. S. Malathi Helen was named Chengalpattu Collector, while D. Sneha and G. Ravikumar were appointed Collectors of Kancheepuram and Karur districts, respectively.

R. Jaya was posted Secretary of Special Initiatives Department, as incumbent K. Gopal is set to retire on February 28. Kalaiselvi Mohan was named Director of the Department of Economics and Statistics. On his return from Central deputation, Chandra Sekhar Sakhamuri was posted Chief Executive Officer, Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority.

The government also posted A. Shanmuga Sundaram as Secretary of Tamil Nadu State Election Commission, whereas N. Ponmani was posted Joint Commissioner, Commercial Taxes Department, Erode.
