Kingston Engineering College near Katpadi becomes autonomous

Kingston Engineering College near Katpadi in Vellore has been conferred with autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Anna University, Chennai, becoming the first engineering institution in the districts of Vellore, Ranipet, and Tirupattur to receive the prestigious recognition till 2035.

According to a press release, D.M. Kathir Anand, college chairman and Vellore MP, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the principal, department heads, faculty members, non-teaching staff, alumni, parents, industry partners, and all stakeholders for their dedicated efforts and commitment that led to the recognition.

Mr. Anand urged the faculty members to continue their cooperation and collaboration in steering the college towards greater heights in its next phase of growth and development. U.V. Arivazhagu, college principal, was present on the occasion, the release said.
