A farmer was injured in what is reported to be an attack by a wild bear in Hulanda village in Khanapur taluk of Belagavi district in Karnataka on September 14.

Vasudeva Narayana Gawade suffered serious injuries on his stomach, chest and face. He said he was attacked by a wild bear when he was returning from his field.

He suspects that the bear came from the nearby Kanakumbi forest.
