South Star Rail to operate special train to Kashmir valley, Vaishno Devi temple

Indian Railways and the South Star Rail, the first private sector service provider, will operate summer special tourist train to Kashmir Valley and Vaishno Devi temple in April, this year.

The 13-day joint special tour package begins on April 11. Reservations can be made by contacting Tour Times on 93550 21516, or by visiting www.tourtimes.in, said South Star Rail South In-charge Vignesh in a press conference, here on Saturday.

The Kashmir valley itinerary covers prominent places such as Agra, Srinagar, Sonmarg, Gulmarg, Amritsar and Delhi. The package begins at ₹42,000 for sleeper class, ₹54,000 for third AC, ₹61,000 for second class and ₹68,000 for first AC, Mr. Vignesh said.

The Vaishno Devi temple holiday special tour covers Agra, Mathura, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Kurukshetra, Vaishno Devi temple, Amritsar and Delhi, said South Central Railway (SCR) Vijayawada Division Public Relations Officer Nusrat M. Mandrupkar.

The package begins at ₹36,000 for sleeper class, ₹58,440 for third AC, ₹54,300 for second AC and ₹65,700 for first AC. The special tourist train will be equipped with onboard public addressing systems, coach security, tour managers, travel insurance, sigh seeing, unlimited meals and other facilities, Mr. Vignesh said.
