Telangana CM gets a pat from Priyanka Gandhi for Municipal Poll victory

Following the victory for the Congress in the elections to Urban Local Bodies across Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi and explained how the party managed to register an impressive victory pushing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to the third place.

During the meeting held in New Delhi on Friday (February 13, 2026), Ms. Gandhi conveyed her warm wishes to the party leaders, activists and grassroots workers in Telangana, crediting their sustained campaign and connect with urban voters for the resounding success. She said the people’s verdict reflected growing confidence in the Congress government and its commitment to inclusive governance.

Mr. Reddy briefed Ms. Gandhi on the latest political and administrative developments in the State. He outlined key reforms initiated by the government, policy measures undertaken to strengthen urban governance, major investments attracted in recent months, and the progress achieved in the implementation and delivery of welfare schemes.
