The city police have registered a case of theft after six batteries installed at the signal lights of Hosa Road and Konappana Agrahara were found to be stolen on Tuesday.

The theft came to light when K.C. Krishnayya, Police Sub Inspector, Electronic City, went for inspection and found that both the junctions were out of order and that the batteries were missing.

The theft occurred between 10 p.m. on February 8 and 6 a.m. on February 9. The stolen items worth ₹50,000 were reportedly installed to regulate and operate street lighting systems in Honnasandra and Konnappana Agrahara villages, the complainant, said.
