The Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Qutbullapur Zones were excised from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). They now come under the newly formed Cyberabad Municipal Corporation.

Telangana Government on Wednesday (February 11, 2026) issued orders restructuring GHMC into Cyberabad, Malkajgiri Municipal Corporations and reorganised GHMC. It has also issued orders reshuffling IAS officers and appointed Commissioners to the three Corporations.

As part of the transfers, an IAS officer of 2013 batch, G. Srijana, was appointed as the Commissioner of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation. She took charge of the post. Ms. Srijana earlier served as Additional Commissioner of GHMC.
