Mangal Seva, a social security programme of the Adani Foundation, completed one year on Thursday (February 5, 2026). A programme was held at the in Ahmedabad’s Shantigram to mark the occasion.

Mangal Seva was started in February 2025 by Jeet Adani and Diva Adani ahead of their wedding. The programme supports divyang women through financial assistance, a statement issued by the Adani Group stated.

Under the programme, 500 divyang (specially abled) women are supported every year. “The beneficiaries are women aged 25 to 40 who hold Unique Disability ID (UDID) cards and are identified by Youth for Jobs,” it read.

Each beneficiary receives a fixed deposit of ₹10 lakh in partnership with State Bank of India. The deposit provides a monthly income, and the principal amount can be accessed after 10 years.

The programme is planned for at least five years, with an annual allocation of ₹50 crore, the Adani Group said.

The event began with a prayer and a presentation on the programme. Fixed deposit certificates were given to beneficiaries. Cultural programmes were presented by members of the Blind People’s Association of Ahmedabad.

Group Chairman Gautam Adani, in a post on X, stated that the pledge made in February 2025 to support 500 newly married divyang women each year with financial assistance of ₹10 lakh per beneficiary was being carried forward as planned, and that the programme had reached several families by providing financial security and support.

Addressing the gathering, Priti Adani, chairperson of the Adani Foundation, said the programme reflected the belief that personal milestones can be linked to social responsibility. She said Mangal Seva was centred on dignity, empowerment and shared well-being, and emphasised that the initiative was intended to recognise the strength and agency of divyang women.

During the programme, Mr. Adani also launched a book documenting accounts of beneficiaries associated with Mangal Seva. The event concluded with a community dinner.
