Minister for Tribal Welfare Gummadi Sandhya Rani and District Collector N. Prabhakar Reddy on Thursday said that the Mahaloddha waterfalls, located in Makkuva mandal of Parvatipuram-Manyam district, has the potential to attract thousands of tourists from various States including Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, as it is one of the best waterfalls in the country.
The Minister, along with the District Collector, visited the waterfalls after the new road was laid to the site.
Since the waterfall is in the hilly tribal area with no proper road connectivity tourist earlier did not have access to the spot.
Speaking to media, Ms. Sandhya Rani said that the government is focusing on promoting tourism in tribal areas to ensure livelihoods for the tribal people.
