Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu criticised YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for putting up a show of strength on his way to Guntur to meet the family members of Ambati Rambabu on Wednesday and for calling a ‘State bandh’ as part of his alleged conspiracy to create unrest among the public with political motives.

Addressing the media at the TDP central office near Mangalagiri on Wednesday, Mr. Atchannaidu said Mr. Jagan was provoking his party cadres to damage the reputation of the coalition government.

He said that Mr. Naidu condemned the attack on Mr. Rambabu’s house, and that the police had registered cases against 31 persons for taking the law into their own hands.

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy should have restrained his leaders from making objectionable comments on the Chief Minister. “Instead, Mr. Jagan is encouraging his party cadres to create a law and order problem in the State,” he said.

Having suffered a severe blow in the 2024 elections, Mr. Jagan must learn his lessons at least now and come to the Legislative Assembly to debate issues of public importance, Mr. Atchannaidu said.
