Kanchan Khattar, Senior Coordinator at the NCW, will serve as a member. An advocate nominated by the District Legal Services Authority may also assist the committee.
The inquiry proceedings are scheduled to commence on February 5. The committee has been tasked with examining the circumstances leading to the alleged incident, assessing the action taken by the authorities concerned, interacting with relevant officials and persons to ascertain facts, and recommending remedial measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents. Its findings and recommendations will be submitted to the Commission for appropriate action, the release said.
