A court on Sunday granted 14 days’ judicial remand to former Minister and YSR Congress Party leader Ambati Rambabu. The police produced him before the court late in the night.

The Nallapadu police arrested Mr. Rambabu on Saturday night following complaints lodged by leaders of the Telugu Desam Party and a Sub-Inspector. The complaints alleged that the YSRCP leader used abusive language against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and obstructed police in the discharge of their duties.

Earlier, the police subjected the former Minister to medical examination before producing him in court. He will be shifted to the Rajamahendravaram Central Prison.
