Applications for the Common Entrance Tests (CETs) for academic year 2026-27 will go live in the first week of February, 2026 and the process will be completed by the end of May to ensure timely commencement of admissions and the academic schedule.

A decision to this effect was taken at a review meeting organised by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) on Thursday. The meeting was attended by the conveners of the CETs-2025, the newly appointed conveners for CETs-2026 and representatives of service providers from APTOnline and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

The newly appointed conveners have been asked to prepare a comprehensive and detailed schedule for the conduct of their respective CETs for academic year 2026-27, covering all stages of the examination process, including notifications, application timelines, hall ticket issuance, examination schedules, result declaration and counselling. They have also been instructed to closely coordinate with APSCHE and the service providers to ensure strict adherence to timelines and guidelines.

The service providers, meanwhile, have been asked to strengthen the technical and infrastructure support at the examination centres. They have been directed to enhance the seating capacity at the test centres based on the anticipated candidate turnout in addition to incorporating real-time monitoring features in the dashboard, clearly indicating the percentage of seats filled and unfilled at each exam centre, so as to facilitate effective planning, monitoring and decision-making by the authorities.

APSCHE Chairperson K. Madhu Murthy and others were present.
