A city-based doctor filed a complaint on January 13 alleging that her husband hacked her mobile phone, accessed her personal data, and subjected her to continuous harassment and online surveillance in Bengaluru.

The complainant stated that she married her husband on August 1, 2025, following which the couple lived together briefly. Owing to marital disputes, the couple began living separately. They have a child from the marriage.

The complainant alleged that whenever her husband visited to see their child, he unlawfully accessed her mobile phone.

She further alleged that her mobile phone was compromised using malicious software, allowing the accused to gain access to all her personal data, messages, movements and private conversations.

The accused allegedly tracked her activities, interfered in her personal life, and monitored where she went and whom she interacted with.

The complainant stated that she became aware of the intrusion on November 22, 2025, when she noticed an “Update Service” permission enabled on her phone without her consent. On the same day, she disabled the service and lodged an online complaint.

She further alleged that the accused continued to harass her online, share personal information, and threaten her even after they started living separately in August 2025.

Based on the complaint, a case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
