Madras High Court Chief Justice unfurls the tricolour

Madras High Court Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava unfurled the tricolour during the 77th Republic Day celebrations held in the court premises on Monday (January 26, 2026). He also accepted the guard of honour accorded by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel.

The Chief Justice also distributed certificates to 51 High Court employees who had completed 25 years of service and distributed commendation certificates to five CISF personnel. He also gave away merit certificates to 10 personnel belonging to the Tamil Nadu State police.

Students from Little Flower Convent Higher Secondary School for the Blind performed a goup song as part of the celebrations and the CISF personnel made a demonstration of various activities carried by them in order to be prepared to meet security-related exigencies.

Former Supreme Court judge F.M. Ibrahim Kalifulla, Kerala High Court former Chief Justice S. Manikumar, Meghalaya High Court former Chief Justice S. Vaidyanathan, judges of the Madras High Court, Advocate General P.S. Raman, Additional Solicitor General AR.L. Sundaresan, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam and others participated.
