As part of their Rotary Youth Leadership Awards on Air initiative, the Rotary Club of Guindy on Thursday took a total of 30 students from ELM Fabricius HSS, Purasawalkam; Govt. Girls HSS, Avadi; and Kannada Sangha HSS, Ayanavaram on a flight to Coimbatore where they visited the G.D. Naidu Car Museum and attended intensive leadership modules.
According to a press release, for the students from class 9 to 12, it was their inaugural flight experience. At Coimbatore, the Rotary Club of Coimbatore East (RI District 3206) and the Rotaract Club of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women stepped in to organise events for the students.
“By combining leadership education with the powerful experience of air travel, we are instilling a sense of belief and aspiration that these children will carry for a lifetime,” said Radha Krish, President, Rotary Club of Guindy.
