The Panangad police on Friday arrested a 30-year-old woman for allegedly assaulting her elderly mother.
Nivya Kunjan Bava of Kumbalam near Panangad was arrested from Mananthavady in Wayanad where she was reportedly hiding after the alleged assault on Monday (January 19, 2025).
The 70-year-old woman reportedly suffered a rib fracture after she was allegedly hit with an iron rod. Nivya has been charged with offences including voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
