A 26-year-old newlywed woman was found dead in her house at Siddheshwar Colony in Kalaburagi on Friday. The police suspected that she committed suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Anusuya Avinash Akade. She married Avinash, her relative, about two months ago following a relationship. The marriage was solemnised in the presence of the two families.

According to the police, Anusuya was reportedly unhappy about living in a village after marriage, while her sisters are settled in metropolitan cities. She was said to be under mental stress over the issue.

Police visited the spot and carried out an inspection. A case has been registered at the University Police Station. Investigation is under way to ascertain the exact cause of death.

(Those in distress or having suicidal tendencies can call Arogya Sahayavani on Ph: 104 for help.)
