A high-level delegation from the Government of Gujarat, led by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh R. Sanghavi, is participating in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 being held in Davos-Klosters, officers said.

This is Gujarat’s first delegation to undertake structured, high-level engagements at the WEF, officers said, adding that the participation is aimed at strengthening international collaboration, attracting global investments and advancing the State’s long-term development roadmap under the Viksit Gujarat@2047 vision.

During the three-day summit, the delegation held more than 30 meetings with global chairpersons, chief executive officers, investors and representatives of multilateral institutions to position Gujarat as an investment destination across key sectors, officers said.

In the semiconductors, electronics and advanced technologies sector, meetings were held with executives from Micron Technology, Tata Electronics, SEALSQ, IonQ, Emerald AI, OpenAI and NVIDIA, officers said. The discussions focused on semiconductor manufacturing, advanced electronics, artificial intelligence and quantum-related technologies, including potential partnerships.

On digital infrastructure, data centres and emerging technologies, the delegation interacted with representatives of Tillman Global Holdings, IBM, Johnson Controls and Cognisant, with discussions covering data centres, telecom networks, smart infrastructure and AI-enabled services, officers said.

Engagements in manufacturing, infrastructure and industrial expansion were held with senior executives of Welspun Group, Sumitomo Group, Lulu Group International, Technip Energies, RPSG Group, TVS Group and ArcelorMittal, officers said.

On clean energy and energy transition, meetings were held with executives from Hitachi Energy, ENGIE, EDF, Topsoe, Vestas, INOX GFL Group and Trafigura, focusing on green hydrogen, renewable energy manufacturing, grid modernisation and industrial decarbonisation, officers said.

A meeting with A.P. Moller–Maersk focused on port-led development, multimodal logistics and supply chain integration to strengthen Gujarat’s role in global trade, officers said. Separate discussions with Linde and Air Liquide covered industrial gases and support for clean manufacturing and the semiconductor ecosystem.

In the space technology sector, the delegation met representatives of Marlan Spacetech to explore collaboration in space technologies, advanced materials and future industries, officers said. Engagements were also held with the World Bank Group and the Asian Development Bank on sustainable urban development, water security, climate resilience and infrastructure financing.

The Gujarat delegation will continue its engagements as the WEF Annual Meeting 2026 progresses, officers said.
