Global pesticides giant Corteva Agriscience has launched two pesticides against diseases like ‘Downy Mildew’ in grapes and ‘Late Blight’ in potatoes. The company claimed that both the chemicals will transform potato, grapes cultivation in India. A release from Corteva said building on the globally successful Zorvec technology, this advanced solution offers growers protection against the devastating diseases and will lead to to healthier crops, higher yields and superior quality produce.

“Zorvec Entecta delivers a unique combination of advanced chemistry and powerful performance. Its active ingredients provide strong and reliable control against oomycetes plant diseases. This innovative solution offers growers unmatched consistency and control, providing powerful, long-lasting protection even under challenging climatic conditions,” it said. The release added that the chemical is secure and protected from wash-off just 20 minutes after application, giving growers confidence in their investment. “The product combines two powerful active ingredients that work together synergistically in two different ways, making it an excellent tool for managing disease resistance and ensuring its effectiveness over time,” it added.

For grape growers, the company said, the new pesticide will provide superior, long-lasting protection against ‘Downy Mildew’, which is crucial for consistent disease management throughout key growth stages. For potato growers, the newly launched medicine is “proven to be the strongest foundation for managing Late Blight, ensuring a clean start to their 9adisease control programme even in the toughest environment conditions.” “Internal trials confirmed its robust disease control which is long lasting, complete plant protection and ability to perform even under severe Late Blight pressure,” the company claimed.
