Sources said a few youngsters of Kadambathur who had been to the river to have a wash found the idols

A total of 46 stone idols of various deities including Vinayakar, Murugan, Iyyappan, and Naagars were recovered by the Revenue department on Sunday from the Cooum River in Tiruvallur district.

Sources said a few youngsters of Kadambathur who had been to the river to have a wash found these. The idols have been moved to the Tiruvallur tahsildar office with assistance from the Kadambathur police. The age of the idols is unknown and will be ascertained with the help of experts.
