The Communist Party of India (CPI) has called upon cadres and supporters to participate in the centenary celebrations public meeting and rally scheduled to be held in Khammam on January 18.

Addressing a CPI State Executive Committee meeting held via Zoom on Friday, party national secretary K. Ramakrishna said the Khammam public meeting and procession would mark a milestone in the party’s struggle. He said that being a part of the celebrations was a rare moment in one’s lifetime. He stressed the need for coordinated efforts to ensure the timely arrival of participants at the rally venue and procession points.

CPI State secretary G. Eswaraiah said party cadres should move with renewed enthusiasm, adopting a ‘one member per household’ approach to ensure massive participation. He said extensive arrangements were being made for transportation through buses, trains, and other vehicles from all districts.

Mr. Eswaraiah said over 14,000 participants were expected to attend the event, with food and refreshment arrangements being made for them.
