A 46-year-old man convicted of his wife’s murder and sentenced to life imprisonment was found dead in the Central Prison in Dharwad.
According to the police, Eshwarappa Pujar was found dead in the handloom section of the Central Prison on Tuesday night.
A native of Basapur village in Laxmeshwar taluk of Gadag district, Eshwarappa Pujar was undergoing sentence since June 19, 2024.
The Dharwad Suburban Police have registered a case in connection with the death.
