The management of Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple, Srisailam will be organizing mass ‘Bhogi Pallu’ for children on the Bhogi day on January 14 (Wednesday) this year. Bhogi Pallu is a festive ritual where elders shower young children with a mix of fruits (like jujubes, gooseberries, sugarcane pieces) as blessings, and protection from evil spirits.

Srisailam temple Executive Officer M. Similarly, the temple management is conducting Rangoli competitions for women on the occasion of Sankranti Brahmotsavams on Sankranti day (January 15). Those who want to participate can enroll at the Public Relations Wing at the Administrative Building of the temple before 5 p.m. of January 14. The competitions will be held from 7.30 a.m. on the temple South Mada Street.
