Bengaluru traffic police to crack down on high-beam, coloured lights from today

Two-wheeler and four-wheeler riders in the city have been cautioned against using high-intensity lights and unauthorised additional lamps, as the Bengaluru Traffic Police will launch a special enforcement drive from January 7 to 13.

According to police, several motorists have been fitting vehicles with red, yellow and blue coloured lights and excessively bright headlights, causing inconvenience to other road users and increasing the risk of accidents. and causing nuisance especially during night time.

To curb the menace and improve road safety, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Bengaluru, Karthik Reddy has directed traffic police to conduct strict checks, register cases against violators and impose penalties during the drive.
