Queen Mary’s College students thank CM Stalin for free laptop scheme

Students of Queen Mary’s College in Chennai, on Tuesday (January 6, 2026), thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who visited the campus, for the State government’s initiative of providing free laptops to college students.

Mr. Stalin launched the first phase of the distribution of 10 lakh free laptops to college students across the State. This was in line with the announcement made by the State government that it would distribute 20 lakh laptops to college students across Tamil Nadu.

Separately, in a post on X, Mr. Stalin extended birthday greetings to music composer A.R. Rahman. The Chief Minister said Mr. Rahman’s music transcends boundaries and reaches all directions.
