A special camp to facilitate the submission of claims and objections for the draft electoral roll, which was published on December 19 as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), began at all polling stations in Cuddalore, Villupuram, and Kallakurichi districts on Saturday.

The draft electoral roll for Cuddalore district has a total of 19,46,759 voters — 9,60,645 men, 9,85,832 women, and 282 others. According to a release, the special camps will be held on December 27 and 28, and on January 3 and 4. In Cuddalore district, camps began at all 2,590 polling stations on Saturday.

Election Department officials said that during this period, those whose names were not included in the draft electoral roll, as well as newly eligible citizens, could apply for inclusion by submitting Form 6 and the declaration form. An elector can submit Form 7 to object to a proposed inclusion or seek deletion of a name from the existing electoral roll.

Those who have shifted their residence, require corrections in the entries, and seek a replacement of their EPIC can apply through Form 8. In addition, the public can also submit applications online on https://www.eci.gov.in/electors, https://voters.eci.gov.in/ and voter Helpline Application.

Applications received will be verified by relevant officers and action will be taken to include names in the final voter list to be released on February 17, 2026.

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is underway with January 1, 2026 as the qualifying date. All those who turn 18 by that date can apply for inclusion of their name in the voter list.

District Election Officer and Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar visited polling stations at Chidambaram, B. Mutlur, Bhuvanagiri, Kurunjipadi and Vadalur.
