
Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) Vice-Chancellor Allam Srinivasa Rao takes a ride on the e-vehicle service launched for women, sponsored by the Union Bank of India under ‘Empower Her’, for in Nellore on Friday.

Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) has launched an e-vehicle, sponsored by the Union Bank of India (UBI) under its Corporate Social Responsibility, for use by women students on the campus.
The eight-seater battery-operated vehicle has been provided under the ‘Empower Her’ programme, and was formally received by Vice-Chancellor Allam Srinivasa Rao.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that the vehicle will provide great relief to women students and faculty members, as they otherwise have to walk one kilometre from the main road to reach the campus. The vehicle service will benefit nearly 1,300 students, teaching and non-teaching staff.

Brochure released
Prof. Srinivasa Rao also released a brochure of the proposed international conference on ‘Advancing SDGs through multidisciplinary collaboration: Pathways to social development’, organised under the aegis of the Department of Social Work.
