PWD Minister reviews arrangements for Chief Minister’s proposed visit to Kallakurichi

Minister for Public Works E.V. Velu reviewed the arrangements being made to host Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who is slated to visit the district in the last week of this month.

The Minister accompanied by Collector M.S. Prasanth on Thursday inspected the arrangements at the venue near Veeracholapuram on the Salem-Chennai national highway where the integrated Collectorate complex for Kallakurichi district built at a cost of ₹139.41 crore will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister, along with the unveiling of new projects.

Mr. Velu also held discussions with officials of various line departments, whose schemes were proposed to be introduced. The Minister previewed the arrangements and the beneficiary list of the welfare schemes slated for distribution on the day by the Chief Minister.

According to the administration, the foundation for new projects will also be laid by the Chief Minister.
