12 cases booked against ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogan shouting in 30 months

In the last two-and-a-half years, 12 cases, including six suo motu, were filed against those who had raised “Pakistan zindabad” slogans in Karnataka, Home Minister G. Parameshwara informed the Legislative Council on Thursday.

Replying to C.T. Ravi’s question, he said that a total of 61,299 suo motu cases had been filed in the State by the police in the last two-and-a-half years pertaining to various incidents and of them chargesheets had been filed in 57,646 cases.

The Home Minister said that 12 persons were arrested in the ‘Pakistan zindabad’ sloganeering cases and of these chargesheets had been filed in five cases, B report in two cases, C report in one case, and three cases were under investigation. In one case FSL report was awaited, he added.
