TDP spokesperson Neelayapalem Vijay Kumar challenged YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to prove his claim of collecting one crore signatures against the PPP model of development of medical colleges. He alleged that YSRCP’s signature campaign a sham, and sought credibility on the signatures collected by the party leaders.

Addressing media persons at the TDP central office near Mangalagiri on Monday, Mr. Vijay Kumar said the YSRCP was opposing the PPP model in spite of a clear recommendation from the Central government and the Parliamentary Standing Committee. He alleged that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy did not want medical colleges to be established in the State.

He recalled that though the YSRCP government had announced 17 medical colleges, it failed to complete a majority of them, which pushed the projects into a limbo and caused a a lot of suffering to the students.
