The first phase of second ordinary elections to Telangana Gram Panchayats began on Thursday (December 11, 2025) morning. The poll time is from 7.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The vote counting would begin at 2.00 p.m. A total of 12,960 candidates are in the fray for 3,834 Sarpanch posts and 65,455 candidates will be competing for the 27,628 Ward Member posts in the first phase. Over 5.61 lakh people would decide their fate.
