Actor Dileep, who was acquitted in the actor rape case, on Monday (December 8, 2025) alleged that a conspiracy was hatched against him right after his former wife and actor Manju Warrier had stated that the sexual assault on the woman actor was organised and it should be probed.

“The conspiracy to frame me as an accused in the case began from that point,” he told mediapersons outside the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court after the court verdict. “A concocted lie was framed against me by a then senior Police official and a team selected by her with the help of the prime accused. They also used the help of a section of the media and mediapersons to spread this false narrative through social media,” he alleged.

He claimed that the “baseless allegations have fallen flat” with the court verdict. “The conspiracy had impacted my career and life badly over the last nine years,” he said.
