The gold medallists at the 28th NIMHANS convocation on Saturday credited their success to the rigorous training and mentorship at the institute and their parents’ constant support.

Kevin Jude Sudevan, the best outgoing student in MCh Neurosurgery (June 2024), said studying at NIMHANS was the culmination of a long-held dream. Intrigued by the human brain, he hopes to pursue paediatric neurosurgery. He credited his success to his parents and their constant support.

Amrutha Varshini R., best outgoing student in MCh Neurosurgery (December 2024), said her interest in the specialty grew over the years. “It has been years of hard work, and NIMHANS has given me the best academic environment one could hope for,” she said.

A native of Madurai, she hopes to continue her training as a senior resident at NIMHANS and contribute to advanced neurosurgical care.

Pavankumar L. More, best outgoing student in MCh Neurosurgery (June 2025), said the achievement reflected “daily guidance from all teachers.” From Vijayapura, he aims to return to his hometown after gaining more experience, with a focus on endovascular neurosurgery.
