Chief Minister urged to revise wages of port workers

A.P. Nirudyoga Joint Action Committee State president and Honorary President of Visakhapatnam Port Pool Khalasis and Workers Welfare Association Samayam Hemanth Kumar on Friday requested Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to ensure wage revision for the workers. He met the Chief Minister in Bhamini of Parvatipuram-Manyam district and submitted a representation. He informed the Chief Minister that 530 workers were not getting even one-fourth of the salaries being paid to the regular staff.

Mr. Hemanth requested Mr. Naidu to direct the Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust Angamuthu to implement the previous assurances given to the workers. Mr. Hemanth thanked the Chief Minister for implementing zonal system for the speedy development of all regions, ensuring jobs for nearly 48 lakh youngsters of the State. Earlier, he presented crowns to Mr. Naidu and Minister for Education Nara Lokesh for getting investments to North Andhra region.
