The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Thursday caught AP-Transco Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) K. Peda Mastan, working at Karampudi in Palnadu district, when he was allegedly taking a bribe of ₹25,000 from a person.
The accused official allegedly demanded money from a person for issuing power connection to his shop on Macherla-Karampudi road.
Acting on a complaint, the ACB officials trapped Mastan while accepting the bribe. Searches are being conducted at his office and residence at Pidugurally and Karampudi, the ACB officials said in a release.
